  1. Grandma taught me an important lesson that stil applies to my life today. Once she took Cori and I to the dollar store and I (being quite a bit younger back then) kept asking grandma how much this cost, and how much that cost. She eventually stopped saying "one dollar" and said "This is the dollar store, everything in here is one dollar." Haha...I still remember that day. I was so excited grandma took us to a store where I could by my mom the coolest birthday gift for only one dollar! Now everytime I go into the Dollar Tree, I not only know how much everything costs, but I have a treasured memory.

  2. Wow, Grams taught me so many things so I will just mention a few.
In December of 1998 her and I were working at the tree lot together. I told her that Bob got a job offer in San Diego & he asked me to move with him. I told her I was probably going to end the relationship because I couldnt leave my family and I was scared to pick up and move.I asked her what she would do. She gave me the BEST advice of my life. She told me that we all have to move on and make our own life and start our own families. Yes, its hard but thats what life is all about. I said but I am scared to move away and what if Bob & I dont work out. She said if for some reason it doesnt work out then you can always move back to SLC. But if you dont try it and you end the relatioship then you will always wonder what could have been. She then hugged me & said she had a good feeling about it. I am so thankfully that I took her advice. Living in San Diego was one of the BEST things that we ever did.

One of the times she was staying with us in San Diego I asked her how she kept her skin looking so young. She said always follow these three steps.
    1. Wash your face daily.
    2. Next use alcohol free toner after your face drys.
    3. ALWAYS use face moisturizers everyday.
I want to have beautiful skin & to look 20 years younger than I am, like she did. So I have practiced those steps every day since then.

She would always tell me "this too shall pass" whenever something bad was going on. She always had a way of making me feel better & to see the good in life.
I love her & miss her SO much!!!
